Katy Vincent, MRCOG, DPhil is an Academic Gynaecologist in the Nuffield Department of Women’s and Reproductive Health in the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. She obtained her undergraduate medical degree from King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London and took time out of her postgraduate clinical training to study for a DPhil in Professor Irene Tracey’s Pain Imaging Neuroscience Group exploring the influence of hormones on pain processing. Katy’s clinical practice focuses on chronic pelvic pain and adolescent gynaecology, whilst her Pain in Women research group investigate factors generating and amplifying pain in women with a particular focus on central nervous system mechanisms of endometriosis-associated pain. She is the academic lead of TRiPP, one of three subprojects of IMI-PainCare that launched in 2018.
